I ordered my kit a few days ago. Yesterday while putting on my new alternator I went ahead a looked to see where my grounds are. I can the see fire wall to the frame and the block to the frame but I cant get to the bolt at the block. Its blocked by all my holley sniper stuff. Can I cut that ground strap and run it from another spot from the block?

You can cut it or just leave it for a little redundancy, won’t hurt anything. We’ll get the alternate location figured out through pm.

I use a trick for side post batteries I learned long ago. You get a 3/8 x 16 (coarse) bolt, apply a little antiseize to the threads and thread a nut on it all the way. Put your terminal(s) on the bolt and thread it into the battery and just snug it down, If you tighten it down hard you will rip the nut buried in the lead right out of the doorstop err, battery. Tighten the nut down to snug your terminal. I put some silicone dielectric grease on after to prevent corrosion. This has worked well for me for 30+ years. It also gives you handy jumper cable connections for your buddy who hasn't done his terminals like this yet.
