Went back today and grabbed the rear mat because I forgot it for whatever reason yesterday. The 3-4” rain event we had overnight made the yard a flooded creek, and of course the mat was on the ground. Nothing like picking up a fully soaked nasty mat to bring home.

Spent some time with some simple green and the pressure washer. Still fighting a stain on the long mat that has resisted simple green, chlorinated brake clean, and paint thinner.

Well. I decided I’m going to do a full leather swap, so I went searching for a bench. Got more than I had bargained for. Many hours later with the steamer, a soft brush, and simple green and leather cleaner this is where I ended up.

It’s a lot cleaner, but I’m hopeful some of the dents come out. Idiots at the yard folded up a hub cap, the seat belt, and a ford floor mat with sharp rubber bottom rubber cleat (grippers). The steamer helped a lot, and today I let it sit out in the sun and will do so for the next few days.

Looks great. I’d love to do two tone, like the Z71 Tahoe had someday.

That’s one thing I miss about my S10. That dark graphite interior was nice. Not a huge fan of the light gray in mine.

Awesome build, just read through and caught up. What are the temperature/compass mirrors originally from? GMT800s?
The dual displays come from GMT400 Suburbans, Tahoe's, Escalades, Denali's, and early GMT800s, the later GMT800s started using the one-star mirrors. Hobs does sell kits that comes with the mirror, temp sensor, pigtails, and a wiring cover, I've installed my own, and if you can wire in a radio, the mirror is not a problem at all. Super simple and easy to do
