My TCCM took a mini dump last year, I reset it by pulling a fuse I think? It's worked since then. Have you tried that? And did I owe you something else?

FIXED!!!
I finally got fed up and took the truck to a mechanic. Just as HE was on the verge of giving up he found these two wires chewed through by a rodent. These are directly under the cruise control motor. One is BLU/WHT and one is BLK/WHT. I don't know what these two little wires do but apparently they are critical! Hopefully this helps someone else someday.
EDIT: I looked up the TCCM pinout diagram and if these two wires go to the TCCM, which they probably do, then the BLK/W could either be "4wd front wheel lock telltale feed" or "Transfer case encoder signal return" and the BLU/WHT is "Transfer case position switch encoder signal". That would make sense.

Did you ever find the fix for your 4x4 mines doing the same thing and I just have code 1 stored. Thanks again Ik it’s and older threadI've been having issues kind of like yours in my 97 k1500 push button and so far I've replaced the
Actuator- with electric one
Encoder motor
4x4 button switch
Tc switch
And I think my tccm is good bc I can hear it click when you select a mode it has stored code 1
it's bugging me because I've replaced almost everything but nothing but when I saw this pic it gave me an idea bc I also ended up finding rodent droppings in that same area in my truck. This will give me a good area to start looking at the wiring and hoping my rat ended up chewing one of those wires you showed.
Thank you I’ll look to see if that’s my issue. There's a known problem with a snap-ring that fails, then the transfer case doesn't shift properly. MAYBE this is the problem.
Sonnax makes two split-ring repair kits for this, depending on the size of the shaft.
