It seemed pristine from just seeing the exterior

You'd be hard pressed to find one that looked that solid on the outside and looked any better underneath. My dad's 1983 Monte was a WI car and it has random ass floor boards drywall screwed in on top of the original pan. I'll eventually do something with that , but for now there are bigger fish to fry.

Even if the four words were missing that car I probably would have taken so long to do anything to it this way I can kind of focus on the truck and get the fuel pressure regulator and the Kodiak handles on etc etc
plus this money may go towards the cowl hood for the truck I don't know or a house payment

Well as long as you're not eat!ng shjt on the car I'd call it a win. My dad's car is sentimental, so it will sit in safety until I can do more with it.

I knew it needed a driver's side front floor pan and a little bit of patch and trunk I didn't expect to pull the seat belt latch out of the passenger side and the passenger side to be that bad because there's a heat shield there and I didn't see it from the below and most the stuff in the back seat and the floor was just me playing around the hammer after just trying to find any more soft spot

On my 99 k2500 - the only spot of the floor that I had to patch was from the factory exhaust shield on the passenger side. Most places where they welded it had rusted through. It makes me think a little about welding stuff up here in the rust belt. There is just no real good way to treat the metal before/after welding.
