Jus looking at both pcm tables on tb vs 0411, fuel injector pulse width and flow rates and voltage are same as a 4.8 i have in file so im very confident this is going to be doable. Yes different pcm but close to same yr. So if i get it done now ill let ya know if i blow it up or i need more than one tune. Considering i have a few pcm laying around and a bench harness even have couple spare engines i think i have parts covered.

Personally I don't see the point considering the cartridge maf can fit in a piece of pipe and work perfectly with your snorkel. To each their own I guess.

My Infiniti MAFs cleaned up very nicely and the wiring could actually be completely hidden out of sight if I rotated the sensors 180° and felt like securing the harness under them. Also left them pointing up for the ocassional hard fuel trim reset that the software has in the PCM. Disconnect the MAFs, fire it up, check engine light comes on, shut it off, reconnect the MAFs, then clear the codes and the PCM resets all the learned air flow volumes and fuel trims.

Its not even about a snorkel as much as i just dont want it. My c10 im relocating coils and harness goes behind intake so be a shame to have that hanging off the side.

Have fun smoking your 4L60E. Not to mention on an 0411 you lose the ability to have dual timing tables unless you spend money on a custom operating system.

You know just because i haven't messed with this specific set up doesn't mean i haven't done it. Messed with old accel set for lt1s, had pro jection on a few, messed with the F.A.S.T. system, holley systems and few other set ups that no longer exist. All of them were speed density. As far as multiple tables i already got a p01 that i have got the timing part done. So if you pay attention i never once was worried about trans. Trans will not be affected by anything i do in pcm.

Shows what you know. Trans IS affected by wiping out the MAF, along with the other stuff that L31 mentioned. You don't seem to want to hear it, but it doesn't change the facts.

Yeah when i say it doesn't affect the trans you dont want to listen. Do you see anything suggesting its a automatic? So ya kinda hard to affect shifts on a nv4500

You can tune speed density and be fine. And if you use efi live you dont have to burn "credits" doing simple stuff.
Ive tuned my turbo 5.3 speed density and put 50k miles on it without touching the VE tables again. Just pulled timing for 87 octane.
I also put 450,000+ miles on a LQ4 that i tuned in Speed Density and 300,000+ miles of that was with a turbo on it.

MAF isnt all that hard to tune if you wanted to run one. I mainly stop using them because of maxing them out with boost. So went SD and never looked back.

Tuning a 5.3 in a S10 now SD cause we dont have enough room to run the MAF and a air filter. So i ditched the MAF and Air Filter is on the TB.

Since you mentioned P01 im guessing your using HPT?

I use COS5 with EFI live to run a " nitrous" tune where i can retard timing for 87 octane and when i put a tank of 93 in it i just flip the switch so it goes back to my normal 93 octane tune.

Yeah i have hpt but been thinking about getting efilive just because it does a few that hpt dont. As far as tuning the maf isnt hard from what ive messed with so far but im just wanting it out of the way. So if i set timing up to where i want it and set mac kr a few numbers higher to compensate for crap fuel wouldn't that work? Im not talking about setting timing at 36 or anything, i would be logging it as i drive and see where it liked being. Truck is at wot more than it would be if a auto due to few big hills that i top in 4th and 3rd to low to grab.
