Is that paste better than the goop that comes with, say, a Duralast module? I had the cheaper AutoZone brand module test and out of the box. Don't ever buy one of those! I would make them test the new module on their machine if they have the right connections still.

Something else is you want to clean the old stuff off the distributor, and when you apply new, don't put TOO much. Definitely not a case of more=better.

And anyone that tells you to use dielectric grease in this application (believe me these people are out there) ignore that person. While there are similarities, heat sink compound is a different product altogether.
