I did get a chance to do some checking re lights and flashers. Spare headlight bulbs came with my Burb and they are as specified in the handbook - 9005 (51W) and 9006 (60W). How can a 9012 be so much brighter if it's only 55W? Are 100W versions of 9005 available?

Also, had a look at the 'corner' flashers. Bulb missing and a (blue) wire cut. When I slot in a 5W (wedge - 501) bulb and push the blue wire into the other bulb's connector (where its blue wire enters) it flashes and the flash rate remains constant (both flashing in unison). And, it's visible from the front. Why this is deleted in the UK is a mystery. There's also a cut (brown) wire coming from the forward facing bulb mount. That bulb is dual filament with only one utilised (the higher Wattage one by the looks.
Apart from allowing me to have corner flashers, this also tells me additional trailer flasher bulbs aren't going to upset the system - result!

And found the release handle for the rearmost seat. Didn't trouble my self removing it but just by slightly lifting I could tell HWB aint lying about its weight. Brunel would be proud of its construction!

Learned shed loads about my truck today - cheers HWB and DS.
Oh cool-happy for ya. I think you can connect the corners and should be no problem with the mot-cause why would it(unless they're permanently lit).
As to 9005 against 9006-due to construction of the bulb(HIR2-something to do with coating inside-don't ask me specifics) it gives more light. My own experiance is whiter light-a bit brighter with the bulbs I used-you lose that kinda "dimmness"-hard to explain really. Hoe's lights are not bad at all(comparing to i.e. 94 Stang) but I found the new ones to be better-they feel more modern now.

New lenses would help my cause - mine are like soup. Cheap (£15 each cheap) from Rock Auto....

I've never had much joy out of supposedly brighter bulbs at the same Wattage - they last about 10 minutes then pop. 100W (not for road use) - perfect. Not for dipped though for that obvious reason and - if on when vehicle is stationary - can melt reflectors and/or lenses.

9012 was used I believe from gmt800-so it's not some partisan mod but natural progress. This bulb is used in modern vehicles too(Fiat500 i.e.). But of course it's your choice entirely and I respect your choices.

For certain, I'm going back to starting on gasoline and the back up in case I run out of LPG - well it'd be stupid to lose that. By what I've heard of GMT400 gasoline pumps though (and especially as they are impossible to reach on a Burb without dropping the tank) I reckon the LPG system can be the more trustworthy.
.

I should be posting on the Funny $hit thread.
Damned truck refused to start or run on gasoline today at every attempt.

Sounds like mr.passlock is acting up.....did you get it to run on LPG?
Also check the fuel pump relay and the fuses.

It wouldn't even offer to fire and once running on LPG switching to gasoline didn't work though it has in the past. Kind of had me on edge all day and if I hadn't filled up with LPG before I left I'd have been stuffed. (I expected the LPG to take around 40 litres but it swallowed 60. I'd not have made it back if I hadn't fuelled first). I swapped the AC and fuel pump relays to no avail - but then again the AC one could be goosed!
I need to do the fuel pump check - ignition on and listen for 2 seconds of pump running) but with tank that far back and constant traffic noise I'm never quite getting it done. Next time there's somebody in the vicinity to turn the key for me I'll get them to while I hold open the Schrader on the fuel line.

I also noticed a cable hanging down from the chassis (I thought I had them all ty-rapped in place - obviously not!) that is in the vicinity of the transmission crossmember and runs across the width (not lengthways) - possibly detached so need to sort that out. Today is the first time it has refused point blank to fire up at all on gasoline.

On the plus side, my mpg seems to have improved from 15 to 18 after reinstating the over-run cut-off settings - though that needs a brim to brim fill to confirm.

Encountered torrential rain - probably the worst I've ever driven in and the truck was rock solid. (The smart without its ESP would have spat me off the road!)

Yes we've driven our Burbs in some serious rainstorms, and as long as the tires are good, they handle quite well. Sometimes we were towing a trailer and hauling a load to or from a car show, and it's very comforting to be in a vehicle that does that well. These trucks were designed for hauling and towing, and with the right equipment and a good driver, they are very capable.

The 2006 Denali (GMT 800 GMC Suburban)that was Dad's did very well in the rain with its all-wheel drive. But the 800 utes have coil springs and a 4 link in the back, like a passenger car. After a lot of miles and hauling, the back's kinda saggy. It'd be okay for cruising, but not for towing or much of a load.
When you get to check the fuel pump, if it tries to cut off after 2 or 3 seconds, and does so every time, it may be the passlock. Hopefully it is something else....cause that thing is a pita to properly diagnose.

My fuel pump is rather loud-when I turn the key I immediately know if it works. There's a procedure to check the relay and a pump using voltometer. I found it very useful when tried to eliminate the possible causes of the cut outs. One thing I don't have is pressure gauge so couldn't check this step.
As to driving in the rain she feels solid but when it really rains I switch to 4wd-not auto but full time-for added security and kinda glad my g80 doesn't work-my friernd crashed his Colorado like that-it kicked on and sent him into the highway's central divider which happend to be a block of concrete.
Fuelling LPG is a funny affair-never a gospel. I fill at the same station and sometimes it cuts off automatically-at other times it fills and fills and I know it's full already but it seem to let more in-depends on weather, how full is the station tank, pressure (and how many birds are in the air sometimes it seems)-I do about 220 miles on 1 tank-if I come close I refill.

I've just a look. The loose wiring was O2 sensor - now tied up.
I have zero fuel pressure whereas before I'd always be able to muster some at the Schrader valve (opening it with tip of a screwdriver at least indicates pressure present -or not). Going to get stuck in next week.
Even when my pump does kick in - I can never hear it above that damned chime.

Good point re filling quantities. What size is your LPG tank?

My locker does work I think. But if I'd lost traction on one wheel - it would have been lost on both. Conditions were so bad I wasn't pushing hard on the throttle.

Cheers for vid - I'll watch it later and it will likely be my battle plan for next week.

It takes around 15 minutes to test with video. Chime is lockated under the dash driver side-********* block in fuse box-just take it out-mine's out as it's unberable-I use the socket for power source for my roof lights switch.
My tank is 100l-didn't see the point in smaller one as I travel to Europe in this truck. Naturaly u can only fill it up to 80%.
