I have a 93 k1500. Could i take a steering wheel With the radio controls off a 99 & put it on? Would just need pac controller & the horn wire spring for horn to work right?

Just check page 6 post #6, Someone asked if a 94 was doable with this swap and was told it wont work. Short of changing out the whole column don't think a steering wheel swap with corresponding clocks spring will work for you.

I have a clockspring out of a gmc Jimmy that had the radio controls. Will that one work also or do i need the escalade/denali one.

Is there a schematic that shows the button ohm values? I've been looking and not having any luck.

I’m a little confused on what I need for this. I have an aftermarket radio in my 99. The volume controls are horrible, a tiny little touch button at the bottom of a touch screen behind the shift lever. The radio offers no remote control so my only remedy is to add hard buttons to the steering wheel.
Do I just need the controls and a harness? Or do I need to upgrade the steering wheel and SIR coil too?

Your 99 should have the right wheel already, but you do need to replace the clockspring with one that has the connections for the controls.

well my leather is rough so I was going to get a new steering wheel anyways. So I can either buy a new OBS wheel, add the controls to it, and get the new clockspring - or I can get a NBS wheel which already has the controls, and get the new clock spring. Is that right ?

Sounds about right. You can also check 99-03 S-Series SUVs (Blazer/Jimmy/Bravada) for the same wheel and clockspring.
