I’m working on my 99 Tahoe 2DR 2WD with the 5.7 vortec. So far, I’ve installed a Volant Cold Air System, JBA Competition-Ready Headers, complete 2 ½” dual exhaust with H-pipe and a Black Bear PCM tune.

Soon I will be doing the CSFI to MPFI Conversion! What I would like to know does anybody offer an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for these trucks or perhaps an aftermarket regulator spring to increase the psi to the injectors?

Thank You

Why would you want more pressure? Do you have a system that requires higher pressure, or are you under the impression that higher pressure=higher flow rate? To answer the question asked, I'm not aware of anything that would increase fuel pressure over OEM specs.

...and I wonder how much power got erased with the "cold air intake" system.
Volant out performs the factory garbage. It has a streamlined tube, a sealed box and mine had the very free flowing donaldson style filter. Ran better average ETs.

The Volant is a closed system that draws air from the same location as the factory airbox. I'm usually one of the first to trash talk the open box intake systems like K&N and many eBay specials, but if someone absolutely has to have an aftermarket intake on one of these trucks the Volant is the only one that I'd recommend.

I also question the need for an adjustable FPR in this situation, though.

IIRC the OEM regulator is adjustable. Everyone I have changed and have as spares have an adjustable screw in it.

Stock MFI regulator is adjustable. Had my Express van at 70 psi for a couple of years with a stock replacement Delphi pump with the updated connector (4-flat) and a Racetronix Hotwire kit.

Ok, must have missed the adjustment screw when I installed mine. Is there a benefit to increasing the fuel pressure that I'm unaware of? I can't see how it would increase flow rate. Seems to me it would just be unnecessarily harder on equipment at a certain point, but if there's an advantage to it, it would be cool to know.

Flow rate increases with the square of pressure. I was on the edge of too little fuel and bumping the pressure gave me a margin of extra fuel.
