I have a complete Impala SS rear diff here with the disc brakes, (+ a Limited Slip carrier!) and the only thing that's kept me from doing the disc swap is that no-one seems to know which e-brake cables or whatever mods are required to get the system to work on a 400.
Anyone have some knowledge about this?

Do you know if the LSMFG braided lines are compatible with the 9C1/SS calipers?

On the braided lines I am not sure if they will work.

I do believe there is a way to make your own custom e brake lines I just do believe that it is a tad bit pricey.

I did the rear disc conversion on my x cab. Used 04 escalade awd rear discs on a 14 bolt and i used 02 chevy x cab mid and rear ebrake cables. Works perfect.

Yeah, but there are many places around the USA where there are no vehicle inspections of any kind. My truck was last inspected in 1997 when Arkansas did away with safety inspections. I registered it as an antique in Virginia to get around the safety inspections there. And now I'm in Nebraska, and there are no safety inspections here either.
Yeah, it's ok to have defective safety equipment if you don't get caught. Funerals are cheap. And hospital bills are covered by insurance.

Not what I was saying at all. Annual safety and emissions inspections are just another form of vehicle tax. Now can we get back to talking about brakes?

While I agree its your truck to do whatever you want, its comes across pretty selfish that you want to do the job the way you are planning to do. I did a complete 4 wheel disc conversion/upgrade with all components functioning correctly and passes inspection. I am always told "If you are not gonna do the job right, dont do it at all".

A vehicle inspection is not a cash grab. Here in Ma. The state takes a % and the rest goes to the inspection station.

An inspection is to not only to make sure your vehicle is safe to drive and function correctly for you, its also to make the vehicle safe for others on the road. So if you dont want to worry about the ebrake cables and your brakes fail you have no back up to at least slow the vehicle down.

This is the part that I don't think some understand. Yes that money goes to the inspection station. Everywhere I have I lived in the US where annual vehicle inspections are a thing, service stations are still a thing too. You bring your car in for inspection, they fail you. You agree to $$ in repairs at the attached service station, they pass you. Service stations are few and far between when they aren't supported by a state mechanism to keep them in business.

Wonder how different the Eldorado caliper is compared to a k1500 caliper as far as distance from where it bolts up to. I'll see if I can get a used set from someone just to check differences.

That's not the case here. In ma you have 60 days to get it fixed and reinspected. You can have it repaired anywhere you want or fix it yourself. As long as it passes, noone cares.
