Truck is now stopping wayyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better!!!! Almost all the spongy pedal feeling is gone I do believe that the ABS module itself is now the sole culprit for what's left of the unwanted pedal feel. Now I'm torn on either doing away with the ABS or leaving it as is. I have read some folks pull the ABS fuse but I haven't felt a difference.
I did the
gmt 800 mc
Lsmfg front drilled and slotted rotors with the upgraded calipers along with the braided lines
The rears are put together with
Calipers and Pads for 1990 k1500 with 5.7
Right caliper part # C552 / 18-4301
Left caliper part # C553 / 18-4302
Rear Brake lines I got with LSMFG and asked for the rear replacement braided brake lines for their kit and they worked perfectly.
If you want rubber lines that go to caliper look for the rear brake caliper lines for a 2000 and up with rear disc.
For 5 lug.
Brake Rotors off an Impala SS Rear. Rotor stud hole needs to be enlarged to a 9/16 hole. I used a drill and did them by hand.
Rotor Part # 56450R / ACDELCO 18A656A
For 6 lug.
Brake Rotors are from the K1500 Fronts.
Rotor Part # 5977RGS/5568
