While looking through the service manual for my 93 Silverado I noticed a picture of a tachometer gauge cluster that had a 110mph top speed instead of the normal 85mph. After doing some research I'm assuming this is the "sport" cluster I see reference too? Would I be correct in assuming this was the cluster used in 454 SS, Silverado Sport and Sierra GT trucks? Thanks!

Yep, pretty sure only the 454SS got that gem.
That would be the one. Have yet to see any proof it came in any other model besides the 454SS. It would be nice if it came in the Sport model too, but I doubt it! That exact cluster was only 1992 and 1993 454SS (1994 did not have an SS model).. 1991 454SS has it too but the cluster's electronics, connector, etc. are totally different for the older setup. 1990 454SS has a unique moonie cluster.

With 1992 and 1993 454SS's being nearly rare as rocking horse ****, it's tough to find those clusters.

The Sports don't have them either, just the 454SS. I don't know why GM didn't put them in there, seems kinda odd since the 454SS and the Sport were similar, appearance wise.

Tach also registered 6k instead 5k. Which would be nice with the LS

Thanks for the info guys. It is listed as the Sport cluster so I thought maybe the Silverado Sports and Sierra GTs had them too and that it was possibly an option on normal trucks. Personally I've never been this cluster.

If I managed to find one, would the speedo work meaning you can just drop it in? I have a manual truck too so Id have to get rid of the shifter crap in the bottom left

Yeah the 92-93 454SS cluster is a drop-in for a 92-94 regular truck, just beware the tach will only read correctly if used with a V8 engine. Just mentioning it since I dunno if your manual trans truck is V6 or V8. When I say the 92-93 SS is fairly rare, the production #'s for both years combined is literally just a couple thousand.

Swapping out your shift indicator delete panel from your existing cluster is super easy; it's just a blacked-out cover with a couple screws holding it in.

Didn't the 454SS come with 375/60-R15s? You may have to adjust your DRAC/VSSB?

Edit: 275/60-R15s
