As soon as daddy Trump's stimulus check hits, I think I'll finally pony up the cash for the rear disc kit... finally.
Do it!! Just a little FYI, Skyler (one of the customer service people at LSMFG) told me the parking brake extenders are currently out of stock and they're starting to machine them in-house. No ETA on when it'd ship, but they shipped my brake kit within 24 hours of me ordering it. It was impressive to see that.

I just sent a message to a guy I've been trying to buy a 454SS rear axle from for a year.

Finally put 285s on her last week, put the new tires on the rims and balanced them myself at my college. Same brand of tires as I got for my 97. The $145/tire price tag was too hard to pass up. Feels nice to be driving it again after it sitting for 4 months.

Also put on the front lights that I had gotten with my 97 when I bought it, kinda going for that 90s stock-ish sort of look, now. Plow mount will (hopefully) be removed this summer. Can't believe how small those 265s looked on it, the 285s just look right lol.

I didn't realize parking brake extenders were required. Damn. They have free shipping right now too so I guess I'll "lose" the benefit by ordering the extenders lol

Yeah, the parking brake cable extenders are 100% required if your truck is lifted. I've heard mixed things on whether or not that is true with stock trucks. Some stock height trucks say they can get away without it, others say the cable won't reach unless you get the extenders. Seems like a YMMV scenario.

It's pretty nice what they have going on right now. It's free shipping and no tax! Whether you order the extenders or not, it doesn't make a difference. They partially shipped my order and the extenders will come in the mail once they are ready, no additional charges.

EDIT: Clarification.

I emailed them last night for clarification. I'll see what they say :waytogo:
