Plain Jane stereo wiring

Putt ing a stereo in my 88 that did not have one. Found a 2 wire plug under the dash I believe to be the factory stereo power connected. Has a green and an orange wire. Which is ignition and which is constant hot?

Should be more than 2 wires. I just bought a Metra kit when I did mine.

Just 2. No radio from the factory. Hence no speaker wires.

That is a surprise. Seems like they would leave in a speaker harness for those dealers who were asked to add a radio later. I have learned something here.
