Hi guys!

I am building an engine for my 1992 chevy silverado. I bought a street warrior weiand intake. Unfortunately, the differences were a little more than I first imagined. Most of the brackets for the sensors can be relocated with a little bit of work. It appears that the throttle cable and the coil will bolt up. I want to save a lot of work trying to figure out how to do the accessories. My heads are aftermarket with bolt holes. The original plan was to keep all the original brackets and keep the serpentine belt setup. The truck has a/c. One of the support brackets does not have a mounting hole. The first thought is to make a new support. How have you guys handled this? I am getting rid of the egr setup. Also, my plan is to set it up for a carb first. I have a megasquirt system that I will be using after the engine proves that it is running. Have any of you done something similar? I would appreciate any tips that you could offer. Thank you

The first bracket is an issue because, the engine may get headers some day. I don't know why I threw it in a new intake post.

I don't see the alternator bracket being an issue with headers. If the AC bracket doesn't fit toss it or make a new one.

^^^ X2 This wasn't with a Weiand but I had to get a little creative with my Edelbrock 3704. My headers came with a spacer for the alternator but I just did this with a bolt and nut (lower brace) to the OE bracket.

Here's what I did with the upper brace, just took a stud (from the lower alternator brace IIRC) and made a spacer to get the geometry right.

All I had to do for the A/C compressor was to add a couple washers.

As @Supercharged111 said, get creative, ha ha. But those braces are needed to keep the front accessories mounting plates from cracking and failing. Just pay attention, some of the bolts are metric and some are not!
