Havent gotten very far with the truck, had to replace my passenger wheel cylinder, i was spewing break fluid out every time id hit the breaks. It was a fairly wasy 15 minute job, ill probably make a video doing the other side at some point since it didnt look that great either. however i did order some new wheels and tires. its got 31s on it now and i wanted to try something new so i went with another set of steelies and 33x12.5r15 federal cougarias, should be here within the week. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/b...ack-15x8-19-federal-couragia-mt-33x1250r15lt?

ill update this when anything else changes. i gotta tear the hitch off since it finnaly broke and my spare tire is hangin down and bouncing around so it needs to come down.

well its been over a month since ive added to this, i dont really have much to update about the truck other than my rear ujoint blew out and destroyed my drive shaft, so ive got another driveshaft out of the z71 and the z71 driveshafts seem relatively strong, any ways, i finnaly got a bumper for the truck. bought one froma guy that was about to scrap the whole truck, front bumper and driveshaft for me and a rear bumper for my brothers. Hes getting my old front bumper. Since i cant upload videos on here i figured id atleast give yall something nice to look at.

Well boys and girls, im finally back from BCT twas a long 3 months, but it paid for my truck part addiction so thats always good XD. Any ways, gonna have a pretty big update coming soon. I ended up buying alot of parts for the truck and its finnaly going the route i want it to go in. So thats good, any who i ordered, a 6inch rough country lift, bought a 14bolt with a g80 locker, and a 350 for the truck. Waiting till i have some more money to get an nv4500, so thats next but right now im working on building the 350 i got, gonna try and find some 906 vortec heads and port and polish them, then after that, its cam, intake and carb, talked to my auto mech teacher and he said it should be safe up to around 450 crank hp so thats gonna be killer but its gonna be a slow process. Currently waiting on my lift to come in. After that im gonna pick up a set of 35x12.5 federal couragias, these tires are some of the best in my experience and for 900$ for a set of 35s i cant complain. So ill wait for a little bit and do one big post about the lift and what not, probably gonna start tearing into the engine this week so there will be a few small updates here and there about that and the prep of my 14 bolt.

Congratulations! I hope you were able to adequately embrace the suck. The best advice I was given: Always complete your classes & training ahead of schedule, that way if you get an opportunity to promote earlier, you have everything done.

If you're planning on Vortec heads, you really ought to buy a Vortec 350 long block. No sense in staying with a 305. That said, pull the heads in the junkyard (I'm assuming self-serve) and check them with a wire brush and a magnifying glass between the spark plug and valves for cracks. If you have to swap heads in the junkyard to get a good long block assembly, do it. Also, if both heads on a long block are cracked, consider looking for a different block. If both heads were leaky, they probably overheated the crap out of it, and it could be cracked.

If the recruiter signed off on it, hold them to it! Be friendly, but keep asking where your money is. If you didn't get it in writing, you're boned. Never trust a recruiter unless you get a copy of the paperwork with their signature on it.
