Man I’ve been in your shoes before. One door closes and another will open. Trucks have a funny way of getting you through the bad times though lol.

Glad to hear you’re driving the Burb again!!

As terrible as this was, I’ve come to realize it’s a necessary step in my life. I’ve changed my ways since then... Matured, if you will. You’re right, after that door closed, many more opened up. I always told myself God has a plan for everyone. While I might not be sure what He is up to, I must trust in His ways to lead me. My ex was a mere stepping stone on a journey much bigger than her.

These trucks really do have a way to piss me off and calm me down all at the same time haha. Right before this Tahoe trip my front driver axle seal started leaking. I topped off the fluid and drove it to Tahoe with no other issues, ran like a champ. Speaking of which, I should prob post some Tahoe pics! The burb definitely likes to keep things interesting [emoji23]

Is that at tahoe? Havent been in a while

Good eyes! Yep, in South Lake Tahoe right now with the family. The suburban hasn’t been here since I was a little kid. Crazy how time flies.

Lol well, I cut my snowboarding real early today. Got a call from the valet. They informed me that the truck was parked in their back lot with construction and it got dirty.

They offered me two options: I can wash the truck myself, provide a receipt, and get reimbursed. OR have one of their employees drive it to get washed. HELL TO THE NO. I bet they’d love to have some fun with the truck before it gets washed. I told them to sit pretty and I’ll handle it. One car wash later and she looks half decent. They’re lucky there wasn’t any damage to the truck. Also I inspected the undercarriage for mud and they would’ve heard it from me if I saw any sign of abuse.

On the bright side, I got a clean truck now and another free wash. The car wash was having a BOGO deal, and of course I chose the créme de la créme for the wash, since it’s on their dime. Alls well that ends well I guess.

Looking good. At least they're nice enough to call an inform you. Safe boarding.

Thanks! Yeah, I’m glad they informed me as soon as they noticed. It looked like a mixture of drywall dust and some light snow powder from this morning. Typically it’s nbd, but having to end my snowboarding day early made me pretty irate, hearing that they parked it in a construction zone just made it a bad afternoon. Especially there was some half decent powder on the slopes, not just ice. Oh well.

Quarantine spring break just started and trying to keep busy.

Just finished a major tune-up (minus cap and rotor, stuck in quarantine shipping so I'll throw those in when they come) along with tidying up some loose ends on the truck. Ended up replacing the spark plugs (went with NGK 3403), plug wires (ACDelco 718Q), and the ignition coil (ACDelco BS3009). Along with the tune up, I ended up fixing my rear windows so they work, feels great rolling down the windows after 2 years of not being able to... lubed up everything with silicone grase so they roll up and down buttery smooth and fast. Also, replaced all the cheap ebay door handles with new OEM handles. Truck runs amazing now, and the doors work as intended.

After staring at my exhaust manifolds I can't help but think there's more to be gained. Tossing around the idea of shorty headers (need to be CARB compliant), currently researching if they're worth the money. Most likely will create a specific thread asking.

Making huge moves on the truck, ended up pulling the trigger on the LSMFG rear disc brake kit with parking brake calipers (https://www.littleshopmfg.com/gm-88-00-k1500-rear-disc-brakes-6-lug-11-drum/). Stoked for the kit and can't wait for it to come it. A nice birthday gift to myself :)
