Having taken the truck on its first long drive, I have come to the conclusion that my suspension sucks. the PO put some type of leveling kit in it (2" blocks, keys) and it rides like ****. I just ordered the 6" RCX kit. They are no fancy lift, but I had one put on my Suburban and I was very pleased.

Took advantage of this nice day to get some work done. I put in a new, better radio and a nice sounding system in.

Also put LED's in the doors and gauge cluster. But i'll have to wait for photos when it gets dark.

Started installing the lift today, starting with the rear. I did some reading and found out 2500s have 5-6leafs in the rear, while 1500s have less...so perhaps I don't need to put in the add a leaf? I can put it in if I have to, unless the 2500 leaf springs make up for it, if thats what was swapped in?

You guys that tackle tough **** in your driveways have my respect. I'm not sure I'd try that in my heated garage. Well done!

Gotta make do with what you've got! The good thing is I wont have too much of an issue removing the front diff with the floor jack. The only issue is the weather which limits which days I can get stuff done.

Got front diff down and the breather snapped off...just my luck. But made a little more progress.
Cutting the bump stop bracket is a pain..lol. Gotta keep at it with a grinder.
