Y'all might remember my maroon '94 GMC C1500 with the rare NV4500 5 speed option, really not common to see that in a half ton 2WD! When I bought the truck a few years ago it was just shy of 100K miles. Buyer said it was for his dad to putt around in, sounded like a BS story but then he brought dad out to test drive it. I saw it several times later in the area with the old guy driving it! It looked like they had it repainted the original color, which it needed, as the hood and roof were dead. At 145K miles it is probably still a damn nice truck. They threw a seat cover over the driver's seat, dunno what it looks like now, but when I sold it that seat looked brand new so maybe they were just preserving it.

That's my old GMC.. I wonder if they fixed the minor dings it had before paint; I only question it since they put the bug guard on the hood.

Pics before I sold it..

I almost miss that truck...I just don't miss driving an NV4500 in Houston traffic.

Last year for the groovy interior. Too bad it wasn't tan or red. Rare to see a sticker with bucket seats & center console, let alone the power windows and cargo light. I'd love to have that truck.

Well, the cargo light was standard equipment for 1994 as first year for federal requirement of the CHMSL. I've had several trucks with original standard trans, buckets, console, and power accessories. The real rarities here are the NV4500 in a 2wd half ton, and tow hooks on a 2wd! I've only seen that a couple times, ever, as original equipment indicated on the SPID label. A customer of mine had a '98 C1500 like that.

The gray cloth interior is by far my favorite. I almost won't even consider trucks with the other colors at this point.

Nice! I tend not to get worked up with what owners do or don't do after selling. It's their problem now. I toss seat covers on my drivers to protect the upholstery also.

That’s bittersweet. In all honesty, truck still looks good. A lot of folks who come across their old trucks usually cannot say the same. Part of the reason I won’t easily ever sell mine, and if I do, I’ll be picky about who I sell it to.

Oh! Not worked up at all. The truck does look nice. I was just mentioning it for anyone that may be interested in the truck that the seat really was nice before and they probably were simply preserving it with the cover. I'd take the cover off, and those grandpa bed rails, bug guard.. but that's my preference.

Man, you should have seen my black '94 C2500LD after its last sale to a friend up in PA. I'll give him credit for finally having the body and paintwork done. The rear cab wall and front bed panel were damaged from a loose load that got away on the original owner. His body guy cut the cab wall out and replaced it, and they painted the whole truck; it looked SHARP. However he did a bunch of other mods I didn't care for but ya know at that point it's HIS truck, not mine anymore. I built the bulk of it, and he shined it up and threw a mega stereo and some corny bolt-on stuff like spiked lugs, different (ricey-looking) LED tails, stuff like that. Oh well!

Not me. Once I sell it you can set it on fire for all I care. I never understood people who buy a car and proceed to just beat the living hell out of it.

Always wanted a 5 speed two wheel,

my 1993 2WD was nearly the exact same Burgundy/ Interior, Cargo light option, Ext Cab Short Box 350 with tow hooks. Twas' a custom ordered Arkansas truck before i bought it.

Only difference was mine was color matched interior a Stepside and 4L60e.

Sharp looking ride though...:jawdrop::)

As much as it pains me to say it because the light duty 5 speed is *really* light duty.. get that instead of one with the NV4500. That extra low first gear is nearly useless in a half ton 2wd, so really you've got a 4 speed overdrive trans that shifts, well, like a truck trans.
