Correct. Might not run down the bell housing just due to how the block is shaped if it was the pressure sensor.

Rear main seal isn't pressurized, this leak ran the pan dry in a hurry. So there are galley plugs at the back of the block?

"Rear main seal isn't pressurized"

Huh??? I could drain my oil pan in under 10 minutes of run time when I blew out my rear main seal last winter. As soon as you turn it off, does it leak even faster for 5 seconds or so after you shut it down?

Start reading the second page if you want to know what a bad rear main leak is like.

Well ****, your thread describes me to a T. Has yours blown out again since replacing it? I'm guessing blowby pushed mine out? Sure would hate to put in a new seal and not get to the root of the problem.

Gonna do the rear main this weekend. I remembered that the LS motors will do this under boost as well which is reassuring. Their fix is better crank ventilation so hopefully it stays fixed after this.

Think you’ll have to drop the trans or just slide it back?
