How is this thing doing? Give us an update Cody!

An update?....welll..... theres nothing really. I was ready to write out a check but some miscommunication between the gal at the front desk, the owner of the shop and me ended up leaving the truck on the trailer where it's been ever since. The shop is so busy they're gunna be booking out 2 years away an even his insurance repair side is out a couple months. All this stupid weather we're having where itll be nice an 80 then start down pouring the next day while I'm at work has left more surface rust. I did pick up couple gallons of some high build primer so when I can I'll be spraying that but I've been so busy with a new job and doing lots of work on the house an property I've got so many little projects taking up my time. Also picked up a new motorcycle so some money went to that. Hopefully once I break up the patio slab and repour I'll have time to do truck stuff before the next house project comes.

Well small update. Got home and moved some things around to get back to blasting the frame agian since the berliner I sprayed before started peeling up. Blasted and self etched the trans cross member and partially the back of the frame.

Well it's been a little bit but I finally did something I've been meaning to for a while. Life has just been up an down, new job, stuff around the house needing fixed and like most ppl always trying to make some side money doing work so I havent had much free Me time. Anyways I got the cab back off the frame an sitting upwards so I can sand the bottom an bed liner it, also need to patch some holes. Rolled the frame outside and looking at ordering new leaf springs, removing the axle to clean out an repaint an look at adding the rear disk conversion.

Started sanding the underside of the truck. Thought my rockers might have been gone but turned out there was a build up of road tar which is a pain to get off so the rockers are in good shape. Got some pieces sand blasted, self etch primered, then epoxy coated. Plan is to get everything on the frame painted, put it back together then use the new bedliner. Also got the frame partially re-blasted then up on 2 wheels again.

Well I've let this project go on waaayyyy to long an I know I've said that before but life gets in the way, new truck, crashed my motorcycle, bouncing back an fourth abt moving or renovating our current place. Finally made our minds up and were gunna sell this place in 1-1.5 year which means I've got alot to get done to maximize the return on this place an at the same time I do not want to haul this thing around to wherever we move. I want to Drive it.
So the plan is
1. Sand the rest of the truck an primer
2. Bed liner the underside
3. Finish frame
4. Cab on frame
5. Engine an trans drop in
6. Electrical & windows
I'm positive there'll be more to the list but gosl is to get her back together an running before move time and then I'll focus on the paint, interior, etc.

Also found a production date and I'm assuming a serial number. An of course found more holes an damage.

After some self etch primer-green. Black is what I still need to re-sand and self etch.

Pulled the frame out of hibernation to start on that agian. Found out the left rear brake is locked up from sand an dirt so I use the 14 to drag it out. Some new drill bits from Matco made pretty easy job of getting the rivets out. Then onto sandblasting an self etching. Dont got a pic after paint but if I get home before sunset I will tomorrow.
