I finally got my Realift TB relocator's on which turned out to be a pain in the ass. The TB cross member has to be moved backwards with some new holes in the frame drilled so be ready for that. Also since I upgraded my exhaust to a 4", the exhaust was in the way to slide the cross member back so I had to remove that section of piping and will have to have an exhaust shop extend the section to the hump that goes over the cross member. And finally, on some longer trucks like mine the transmission cross member is in the way so you have to either drop it down below the frame and add 1" spacers or you cut that section of the cross member out and notch it. I ran out of time so my torsion bars are currently resting on the cross member, hopefully next weekend I will have some time to notch them.

I had the same issue with my exhaust. I heated it up with a torch and put a small soft long dent in it. Still flows better than oem. And with the downpipe being a 3” anyway, no real loss.

I did not have the trans crossmember issue, that shouldn’t be an issue as the trucks are all the same from that point forward. Mine are close, but do not hit.

You guys have no idea how long i've been looking for a 4" lift...
It's been right in front of me this whole time.
I looked at that RC kit at least 20 times.

Unfortunately I don't think that information is fully correct. When I received the RC kit, the subframe drop for the diff and the control arms all measured out to be a 6" drop. When reassembling the torsion bars, I torqued them to the same spec as what I had stock and my total lift came out to be 6". I'm sure I could take out a few turns out of the torsion bars and drop the front a bit and maybe get it down to that 4" mark but then the front suspension would be much softer as well. Ive considered this.

Also keep in mind that the RC kit comes with a 5-6" rear block, there are no add a leafs (atleast that's how mine came). So if you wanted to keep the rear level for your scenario, then you would need to order shorter blocks elsewhere.

Thank you for this feedback. I had read that multiple places but it may have been from k1500 owners who had this experience or early gen kits idk. At any rate thanks again. Will have to take this into consideration.

Keep up the good work

You got lucky then because even in the instructions they mention that some trucks may have interference.

I considered flattening the pipe in a vice but then I still need my front cross over pipe modified because of the 6” lift so I will have them do it all at once.

I finally got around to getting the transmission crossmember notched. Turned out pretty good and only took a few hours of work. I ended up extending the 4” exhaust so that the hump over the torsion crossmember moves backwards as well. also had a shop reroute the crossover pipe at an angle so that the front driveshaft could be installed. I didn’t realize how much additional work I would have to do with this 6” lift.

I also ended up getting a fresh set of tires. These are Atturo Trailblade MT in a 35x12.50r17. The tires are surprisingly quiet and balanced really well. They had a lot of great reviews on other forums so I decided to try them out. Plus you can beat $900 for new 35” MT’s installed.
