I have a pretty nasty valve cover leak on the passenger side and am going to take this opportunity to replace the factory valve covers with something much nicer looking. I've been looking online though and there are a lot of complaints that certain ones won't fit people's trucks. I have a 1990 Chevy K1500 with the 5.7 TBI. Do any of you have an aftermarket set that you like, and if so what is the part number?

Yep, I went to the parts house help section for grommets and bought some 13/16" (IIRC) hose as you can see in the picture above. My PCV on the passenger side is in the back. I used 3/8" hose (I think) for it.

Thank you! I will have to measure the gap between my valve cover and AC hoses to make sure they will fit. I really appreciate it!

My personal favorite is the 70s LT-1 Corvette style with the fins and sides polished and black between the fins, but those are for the old style heads. I like the newer Corvette style that Schurkey mentioned as well. There's options for the new center bolt style, one just has to look a little more

They make adapter plates to put perimeter bolt covers on centerbolt heads. Also most aftermarket heads are drilled for both options. I have black powdercoated cast aluminum perimeter bolts on the 383 in my Express van. My 1.7 roller rockers and .100 longer valves with dual springs fit under the short perimeter bolt covers. The short perimeter bolt covers are slightly taller than the stock centerbolt covers. They will clear the vortec compressor bracket with minor trimming to the bracket. If you get the style that angle down on the ends I bet they would fit with no grinding of the bracket.
