Hi, first time posting...

I was basically gifted a 2000 Escalade. I currently own 13 Denali. And I love, love, love my Denali. I like the caddy as a putting around 4x4 capable hunting truck... But, I am still a 5 year old and Tim the Tool Man is still my idol. Soooooo, I have been looking into ways to get a little more out of the old girl. (She is 52,000 orginal mileage grandma fresh) I will never WOT the thing but want to be able to keep up in traffic and pass a hitchhiker if I encounter one. I dont want to mutilate the thing but I am willing to throw a grand at it to see what driveability increase I can get.

First of all, I'm jealous. I want a nice low mileage GMT400 Escalade badly.

My recommendation would be a full exhaust (3" or better) with your choice of headers and a PCM tune. You should be able to get that done for around $1K easily and they will both make a noticeable difference in power.

Agree with the above post. Maybe some headers and cam? Or just headers if you want to stick to strictly bolt ons and tune. If that thing only has 52k miles on it, throw up some pics. If it's super clean, we'll call ya crazy for wanting to use it for a hunting buggy. Lol

Well I am not going to paint it or really scratch it up... I cut tree back all the time on my farm. My daily driver is a 06 cummins 2500 crew 2 tone. I would love to turbo the caddy but I cant bring myself to do it. It is the least valuable in my fleet now, so it gets regulated to putting around and I keep my hunt stuff in it.

The Denali is still relevant to to new car and I have no immediate plan to "update it" I did update my CTD with new factory replacement radio with bluetooth, nav, USB, touchscreen and back up camera in tailgate. My goal is for it to look like it could have come from the factory that way.

I would like to do something similar to this. Want a good low to mid range and not hack the exhaust yet... yet.... it is a comfortable driver if not in a hurry and has nice features for being 20 years old.

I am currently building a 2 Door Escalade out of my 99 Esclade. I just finished the engine this week. It’s so powerful and so streetable.
