I decided its time to build me another gmt400 truck since the qife took over my z71 Avalanche... ill be working on it and posting pics of it over the next couple of months. Heres list of the build parts and modifications..

The body and chassis is a factory 5.7L Tahoe 4wd.

Chassis mods:
Remove the 4wd front drivetrain, install 99-06 3" 2wd lift spindles and 2wd hub assys, install a 3.73 geared 9.5" 14 bolt then put 35" tires on the pace aftermarket 16x8 wheels it currently has. Debating if i want to install an onboard air supply and 2500 airbags i have as helper springs for towing my racecar.

Body/interior
Im installing factory leather 60/40 front bench, mid seats and 3rd row feet tub amd carpet from a 99 suburban, installing 02 yukon third row leather seats, piutting in whire faced gauge cover, autometer phantom trans temp ga, full led conversion and pocketed fender flares and aftermarket tow mirrors.

Engine:
Engine is a custom built full roller 383 with rhs heads, motown efi 4bbl intake, custom 4bbl to factory 5.7 vortec tb adapter, cold air intake, shorty stainless headers, custom 3" stainless exhaust with a dynomax bullet as a resonator followed by a 40 series flowmaster muffler speced out for a 3600 rpm max torque range which should peak around 515ftlbs according to the comp cams tech guy that spec'd the cam for it.

Cooling:
Its getting a champion 3 core all aluminum radiator with dual 14" fans from a 98 Caddy mounted to a custom mount, it already has a factory aux trans cooler and engine oil cooler and im installing a powersreering cooler when i install the hydroboost.

Efi/electrical system mods.
Building a custom wiring harness with all new wire, terminals and connectors to an 0411 pcm.

For brakes its getting 2003 avalanche sterring knuckles, stainless steel brake hoses, 4wheel disc brakes with 4 wheel dual piston calipers, avalanche master cyl and hydroboost brake booster from a 98 3500.

Trans is currently a remanned 4l60e which will be upgraded to a built 4l80e at a later date.

Well, Ive been wheelin dealin and horsetrading... I sold the tires and wheelz that were on the tahoe for $260 and came across a heck of a deal on facebook marketplace for a set of 20" wheels with some usable Toyo M/T's on them for $250. Iordered the 3" body lift blocks today and I'm picking up a full set of low milage 2014 silveraldo 13"/13 1/2" rotors, pads and calipers tomorrow a coworker just took off his truck when he installed a performance brake kit. I also swapped out the grill with a nice factory grill from a 98 suburban and started installing rocker switches, digital votage gage and 4 usb charge ports in the dash.

Yeah i decided against it and im keeping it 4wd, i was going to convert it to 2wd trying to save money on gears for the front and with some other stuff, but thanks to my uncle i have all of the 4wd parts to match everything up again to keep it 4wd
