The stance of that looks like the stance of my truck before I lowered it...except the nose was lower and the butt was higher on mine...[emoji21]

That picture was from 2008. Back before I knew what a spindle, shackle, hanger or flip kit was. She was all stock aside from the "carbon fiber " taillights, cheap bullet hole wheels and cooper cobras! I added a planet audio sound system later on. Sweet set up too. Door speakers, 2 12" subs with a 1000 watt amp. Ran the wires under the carpet, through the firewall and to the battery. That was a terrific little truck. That 4.3 in it was a super little engine.

An update on the brake cable issues. I looked at the front cables and determined a couple of things:

1. The cable at the pedal was slightly bound. Fixed that.

2. And I believe the cable under the cab just needs a huge adjustment to work just fine. The adjuster rod has plenty of room to take out the slack. I also need to adjust the bracket on the hanger. I think I missed the angle enough to create more slack and an odd routing...

Will update when I get it dialed in...

Springs are pretty straight forward. As long as you seated it correctly, there’s not much that can go wrong. When I swapped springs on my 98 to drop springs it took a day or two to settle and get the squeaks out. On my 94 when I pulled the factory springs and cut them, there was no settling... it was just low.
Make sure you are measuring from the center of the wheel to the lip of the fender and not from the ground. Also, how long were the first set of springs in the truck?

that measurement was from the hub to the fender.

ill check the height on the springs tomorrow when i go to finish the swap but im pretty sure they were around the same height. I emailed djm, they said i seem to have the right springs, grey hammered, and right part no.

its possible it didn't seat right, or it still needs to settle.

Another stupid lowered question from a newb.

Will 16" wheels fit still if I use DJM's 3" drop spindles on a 95 c2500?

Even if I had to change to a different BS/offset I'd be ok. Im just hoping to stay 16"

Just finishing up my 4/6 drop. 92 c1500 rcsb with 5 speed manual.

Do I shim the manual trans up as instructed? Hope it doesnt mess with the shifter position etc.

Edit: Jammed the spacers in while it was on the lift. Guess I'll see how things are once it's back on the road.

IIRC, only the ECSB trucks require the trans to be shimmed.

Hmm I'd say I'll email Belltech but they weren't much help when I emailed about the loose fit on the c notch. Guess it's worth a try.

I am running the spacers as I figured the rear up 6" would mess with the driveshaft angle (some correction on the Belltech spring mounts however). It drives smooth as silk, but my shifter is that much closer to the dash.
