Hello, I'll give ya a bit of a background before I get to the question. So I've been on the chevy forums since FSC and off-road.com since around 1999 but over the past 10 years or so sort of lost interest in the whole forum thing. Fast forward I still own my a 1997 k1500 I bought in 2003 and have been back to using it as my daily and slowly restoring it. It has nearly 300k on the original engine and runs great. I've kept a log book of every repair I've done (its thick) and over all I am extremely **** lol
So i noticed my rear end is about 3/16ths off (forwards/backwards) and chews rear tires up, wearing the outter edges particularly on the passenger side. it also sags considerably on the drivers side so I have new leaf springs to install and hopefully between that and maybe new shackles it will correct it.
With a floor jack and some jack stands I believe i can safely do one side at a time. Any pointers if you've done the job will be appreciated.
