One of EBCs big selling points is that they claim excellent performance when cold. I think myself and everyone around me will be OK, thanks.

yep, i was dealer for ebc. good stuff. they had a compound for every need. but there is a method to the madness. its like yahoos that just throw a cam and headers into the mix and expect results they saw on the internet, some learn, some dont.

I was referring to pads that don't work cold being on the far end of the spectrum. I'd be shocked if you could find a pad like that made for our trucks. Hell the pads I run on my Camaro which I road race don't need warmed up. I know they're out there, my friend had some on his Skyline, but again that would be the extreme and parts stores don't carry the extreme.

Just ordered all my parts. Went with the EBC Yellowstuff DP41273R pads and EBC GD7013 dimpled/slotted rotors plus an ACDelco Professional 18K271X hardware kit on the front. For the rear I got OEM GM/ACDelco 19150002 shoes and ACDelco Professional 18B275 drums with an ACDelco Professional 18K560 hardware kit. Going to order a set of 245/75-R16 BFGoodrich KO2s closer to the end of the month and then I'll have everything installed.

I'm excited to see if there's any noticeable difference running the EBC stuff. This is the first time I've ever bought fancy brake parts.

Haven't received the EBC parts yet but wanted to share an interesting anecdote. When I went to order the rotors someone had already bought the last set they had in stock. (If it was someone here who saw me post that link, nice snipe.) Luckily the price was still listed the same, $117 on Amazon as opposed to $220 everywhere else. Shipping time was listed as 1-3 months though. I'm in no hurry so I went ahead and ordered a set. Immediately after I placed that order Amazon removed the listing, and now it's back up for $160. So no idea when they'll actually show up, but apparently me and one other person saved a boat load of money on them. The new price of $160 still isn't bad compared to everywhere else, but I'm pretty happy about $117.

You probably won't ever see those rotors. Those fvcks jerked my chain on a rear sway in the same manner.

They've done the same to me with other stuff in the past. What makes me hopeful about this time is that the listing came back a few days after I ordered. Usually if they're going to ghost you on an order they won't update the listing so I'm hopeful. Who knows, we'll see.

I usually try to get stuff from "Prime" vendors or Amazon Fulfillment Center and shy away from others plus, I get 5% off my orders when I use my Prime VISA card, saved a bunch and usually get the stuff within 2 days, most come in 24 hours. I know you're in a different boat with yours but, just an FYI...

Actually not that different of a boat, I ordered the EBC stuff through Amazon directly, not a third part seller. "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com Services LLC." They're usually a little more on their game than this, but they drop the ball sometimes.

I'm not a Prime member although I probably should be, I just could never bring myself to pay the yearly fee when I can still get free shipping if I exercise a little more patience.
