4.56 only in dually right??
I have single wheel c3500

No, 4.10 was standard with 4.56 being optional. It didn't matter if dually or SRW. Again, basing it on my 2000. It was just posted that 1 ton could be had in other ratios besides the ones I posted. Can't seem to axle ratio information on the on-line manual for the year 1994? Do you have your owner's manual?

Check glove box:
G82 = 4.56
GT5 = 4.10

Look here: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/do...its/Chevrolet-Trucks/1993-Chevrolet-Truck.pdf

A C3500 Crew Cab single rear wheels with 5.7 engine: Page 9 lists the max. gross trailer weight as 9,500 lbs with max. pin weight of 1,000 lbs. No mention on axle ratio.

Page 13 does indicate the axle ratio can be from 3.73 (GT4), 4.10 (GT5) or 4.56 (HC4.)Pretty lengthy document. You must do more digging...Let us know what you find.

I hope this helps.

2x on the transmission cooler. If it has towing package you should have one, and an engine oil cooler too. Good things to have in Texas summers and humidity. Good luck with your truck too

Not in '92. I worked at a GMC dealer ship and saw hundreds of trucks come through the shop and very few 5.7 equipped trucks were 4.56 gears. A lot of the C3500 SRW that had 7.4 and 400/4l80e THM's came with 3.42 gears because the 7.4 had the extra grunt to move the truck with highway gears. Most of the 5.7 trucks came trough with 3.73 gear sets regardless on whether it was 2wd or 4wd, unless it was a city/township truck with a standard transmission.
My personal '88 K3500 came with a 5.7, THM 400 and 3.73 gears and the 4.3 was listed as the standard engine on my window sticker when I bought my truck new in '88

A healthy 350 shouldn’t have an issue with the occasional trailer.
My 96 C1500 with a 305 used to be my boat and motorcycle hauler.

I have a 1998 Chevrolet K3500 Silverado trim CCLB SRW on 33s with the 5.7L V8 and 4.10 gears. I have a few mods into it (exhaust, proper cold air intake, performance distributor, 33s with 17" aluminum wheels, and a few others), and it tows decently well. Ive hauled 6000 pound trailers 5 hours at a time and it just cruises. At 15000 pounds gross vehicle weight the fastest you're gonna go is 80 mph-ish and it'll take a bit to get there, BUT it WILL haul it without issue and honestly won't have a huge MPG difference. My truck normally gets 12 mpg ish on the highway and i dropped to 10 mpg pulling a '82 Dodge D150 across Texas.
