It's always nice to know see are others who have gone through multiple break downs and tows after buying their GMT400. Way to stick with it. I bought a 95 k2500 last June. When I bought it, the truck ran like it was 25 years old, now it runs like it's only 15 years old. Still plenty to fix to get it running smooth, but it'll get there.

Very nice build. And congrats on the 355. Keep it up!

I need to get better at updating regularly lol.

I’ve been driving the truck everyday now to work and back and tinkering on it on the weekends and when I had spare time. Which thanks to this Dos Equis virus I have much more time for. Anyway, I put new NRG body mount bushings on:

made a YUGE difference in the ride quality along with the new shocks I have in it.

For the worse I assume. I put just 2 poly mounts on the front of my cab on my 1500 and knock your teeth out was an understatement. It was retarded. They're fvckin gone now.

Only two of my center caps were good so I ordered four mint ones off of eBay so that my OCD wouldn’t keep me up at night because of mismatched center caps

Next up was power steering....yeah. I’ve been driving this thing without power steering up until this month....The bracket is off of a 1986 Chevy caprice from the wrench-a-part that I made fit with a grinder (professional fabricator status achieved) and the pulley is from Oreillys, pump is original from the truck.

I mean it’s a little stiffer of a ride but not that bad. My cab and bed lines were not lining up and I was slowly going insane the more I looked at it. All better now though.

I upgraded trans coolers per my trans guy’s suggestion. I snagged one off a Ford Excursion at work for free and it actually doesn’t leak. Score:headbang:

It may be held in there with zip ties and self tappers. But it’s not gonna fall out and that’s good enough for me. I did have to sacrifice my AC condenser to make room for the cooler, but the AC didn’t work to begin with and I’d need a new condenser anyway.

And lastly, I flushed the coolant last weekend and suddenly had cooling issues. Figures. So after many bleedings and burpings of the cooling system with no success, I visited Oreillys and bought new thermostat, coolant temp sensor, and water pump. Did all of them today and the water pump seemed to have solved it. And it’s all cheap enough that I’d rather deal with it and have the peace of mind.
