Wipe pulse board is a very easy replacement. Did mine last year in less than 5 minutes.

Nice looking truck!

Just Ordered one from rock auto. I originally purchased the whole motor but i'm going to return it since it wouldn't make sense just swiping the board off of it.

Hey, that's the same interior in my 1998 C1500! Nice find, and it looks great!

Got my new tires mounted. Also noticed the truck has a small leveling/lift kit. No wonder it rides so rough

Got new brake calipers, rotors, pads and an ABS wire. Feels great putting nice new parts on it!

Then came home to find tranny fluid all over the t-case, crossmember etc. Tranny fluid seems at an ok level but not an OK color. Went ahead and got a new filter, gasket and fluid. But going to hold off on that till I figure out where the leak is coming from.

So today I put in a new filter, gasket and fluid in. It looks slightly overfilled, but not by much which is fine. I took it around the block, no leaks yet but i wasn't happy with the way the tranny pan went back on. It was difficult to get back on and the only way to get it to sit flush to the tranny was to bolt it in with my impact gently then torque them down to spec. Going to take it for a longer drive tomorrow and see how things are.

Well, i think the trans is cooked. Drove it about 40 mins to find it leaking burnt fluid all over the underside of the truck. Drove it home carefully RPMs were surging every so often and you could smell the fluid through the hvac vents.
Guess it's time for a rebuild.
