Just wondering what controls are supposed to be lit up? The cluster lights are still good. I've taken out where the radio control and tape deck were and replaced with a pocket and a new head unit.

My climate control buttons are not lit up, And Ive seen some videos on how to replace but everyone seems to argue about the size of the bulbs?

Anything left of the steering wheel supposed to be light up? Like the head light and running light buttons?
I take it the cargo lamp button is not supposed to be since its clearly white paint.

Thanks in advance. and if anyone has a good spot for bulbs? Not to keen on LED o_O

If you have a 88-94 the climate control buttons do not light up. Neither do any of the light switches. Its odd, but how it is

Not true. The buttons are backlit on the 88-94 A/C controls. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to see them at night. There are several small twist-lock bulbs inside the controls; takes a bit of work to get to them and unfortunately I do not know the # but pretty sure it's listed in an LED conversion thread on this site.

Edit - here's a pic where I took apart the controls to show the bulbs; three of 'em - note that they're behind the buttons. The one I removed has its socket right behind the long hot/cold selector button.

On the 88-94 interior, the door/window switches do NOT light up...unless you have the SUV-style switches - Suburban/Blazer/or the super rare pickup with power mirrors uses those same controls. They light up, but they're really dim.

I guess mine never worked and I just assumed they didn’t have lights then. I honestly didn’t think they did

Awesome, thank you for that Info! Can you tell me if the headlight buttons are supposed to light up as well?

There's also one for the for the ashtray and would anyone who has changed it to an led let us know what worked. It would have to fit into the metal shell that the 194 was in.
