Well ain't that some ****. A 3rd ABS system I never knew existed. Sorry for the jack, but could you post a pic of your ABS pump?

No worries! Here it is.

I bet it would work if the resistance is the same and the gap compatible

It's just be some wire wound around a magnet and some iron. As long as the resistance is the same and the gap can be set to properly jiggle the field, it should work.

The gap would be whatever it was designed to be.... they just bolt into the hub. There's no adjustment. I've always bought hubs with new sensors installed. I'm not suggesting using new sensors with the existing reluctors.

I think the one Delta P posted is probably the same, Looks different because yours has a metal rock gard over it which you would reuse.

I agree...I just can’t find them in stock anywhere now...

Yeah, I looked through Airtex, Standard, BDS, Acdelco, and Raybestos for those part numbers and they don't even exist in their catalogs.

I wonder if there was some kind of a TSB or something that does what 454cid said and eliminated the stock.

That’s a good thought...maybe my truck is an anomaly to have made it this long without needing replacement...

So I’ve been trying to cross ref the numbers from the link delta_p posted and found this on amazon. It’s a different design but it looks like it’s meant to be a replacement...

Did you ever get this figured out, or find the correct sensor? I'm dealing with this on my 94 Blazer. Nobody seems to have the sensor or say Im wrong in thinking that my rig has those! It definitely does, and I have taken it off to do some sanding and trying to fix my abs. code for the front left sensor, so I would like to get this figured out. Especially because my braking is crazy with the abs always engaging. Going to rear-end someone at some point! Cant lock up any tires! Let me know if you found this! Thanks!

I thought 3 channel ABS started around 95/96? How do you have a front wheel speed sensor?
SUV (Suburban, Blazer, Tahoe) not pickup. Best I can tell, it's the EBC4 controller.

Replacing the hubs with the kind that have built-in sensors COULD work--but you'd be taking a risk that the hubs have the same number of "teeth" as the reluctor on the CV shaft.

If they do...it's likely to work out. If they have a different number of teeth, the frequency signal will be different, (more or fewer pulses per wheel revolution) and the ABS controller will think that wheel is turning at a different speed. Likely set an ABS code.

You could replace both front hubs, so that the two front wheels have the same number of pulses per revolution...but it still has to agree with the sensor in the transmission or transfer case. At a steady speed with good traction, all of the sensors have to be senging the same frequency within a percent or two (accounting for worn tires, or speed variation from the outside wheel turning faster in a corner.) The fact that the three sensors have to send approximately the same signal frequency is a good sign--it means that the hubs maybe have the same number of teeth as the CV shaft, and the same as the transmission/transfer case, so the hub-style sensors could be interchangeable with the external sensors.

But I've never done this, so I don't know for sure.
