Picked up a newer truck to replace the Chrysler 300 I currently have. Hardly drive the car since I bought my motorcycle and could use a truck alot more then it.
It's a 2014 Silverado lt 4wd crew cab with the bench front seats so I can fit the entire family in an throw the dog in the bed. Got some plans for it but they have to wait until the 300 is sold. Bedliner as well as the rockers. Some form of side steps for the kids to be able to climb in. Tow mirrors an reverse camera, possible upgrade the speakers and some new lighting, current headlights look like they've been hit by alot of rocks. Only had it for 2 days but man I love being back into a pickup. Oh an of course make this thing louder ha

Well I finally sold the 300. Kept it little bit longer then I wanted but it was repeat ppl no show. Havent done much to the truck besides oil change and adding some aux reverse lights. Installed some flush mount lights into the rear bumber an they definitely help. Plan to order couple more an flush mount them into the foot wells.

Well took the truck to the store, got some gas, which after my shopping discount an with prices be so low right now I got it at $1.59 a gallon. In a pretty good mood, heading home an within 2 miles of home my rpms shot up speed was dropping and I could hear lots of noise, lost all gears besides first. Was able to limp her home an even then I could hear the damage. Probably toast. Kinda knew it was gunna happen since I'm overloading it alot while towing. Called the dealership that sold me the truck to see if they'll stand behind the warranty they said when I bought it, waiting for a call back, just in case I called the Chevy dealer to get a quote. Knew it wasnt gunna be cheap but 1400 for labor an 3500 for the trans. Guess I have a new lawn ornament until I hear back.

Well as some of you know blue met a tree last Friday and the other day the tow truck took it to the body shop. I'm now hoping they total it so I can buy back for parts for the 94 but right now as she sits its $200 under what insurance claims as totalled. Got some pics from body shop today plus some I took at the house. The front radiator support is almost pushed back into the air filter housing. Now waiting for insurance to decide if its worth it or not to repair.

Insurance companies get so pissy about money, don't they? What do they think we pay them for, so they can keep it all?! Good luck, maybe you might want a lawyer......or at least a second adjuster's opinion.

Well its totalled. The quote from the body shop was 16,569. Almost 9k in parts. Apparently every body panel damaged gm sells a replacement skin for. Even the roof line they sell as a whole piece with the A,B,C pillars as one piece for abt 1100. Hood is 1200. So parts racked up quick. An labor since they would cut the pillars and weld in the new one along with new roof. It is pretty amazing how much that they "Could've" replaced. An entire roof and pillar system thatd be awesome to watch being done.
Anyways the repairable up until cost was 16,760. Farmers said obviously the cost to repair is more the half what the vehicle is even worth so its a total and theyll pay out to 20k. So have to wait for word back from loan company abt the possibility of buy-back. If I can't im gunna ask abt the reverse lights and swapping the rims off at least
