I've got a 1991 Chev swb fleetside. 51,600 miles, not 151,600. Black with red interior. 350, auto, p/s, p/b, pw, pdl, air, tilt, and cruise. Original paint except for driver side door. No rust. Lowered 4/6. 2 sets of wheels and tires. 1 set are GM rallye wheels. 15"x 7" on front and 15x8 on rear. Front tires are BFG 215 x 70 x15 and rears are BFG 285 x 70 x 15. Summer set are the same size tires mounted on 5 spoke Rev wheels 15 x7 and 15 x8. Look almost exactly like Americans. Rev had the off-set I needed but American didn't. Roll rear pan. If you guys would give me what you think would be a fair price I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Headliner is sagging and the dash has a couple small cracks.

I would probably think between $3500 to $4000 as you have described would be fair here in AZ. My 94 2500 stock with 150k cost me 2500 and some felt that was too much to pay, but the body was just about flawless and the interior didnt look past 2 years old, with the exception of the typical cracked dash.
Your low miles with the drop kit is impressive and would typically warrant some more money, but I dont think that the 350 is that attractive during these years, and generally dirt cheap to replace with a new one if needed.

Pics would help me out, but I'm with Jay on the $3500-4000 range; much as I hate to say it, it's hard to get much more than that for what a lot of people consider "just an old truck." That said, you could list it higher than that and be pleasantly surprised if the right buyer happens by.

Without, any pics, its very hard to say. Good clean looks sale. It also has a lot to do with how rear the truck is where you live. Are there a bunch of trucks still on the road, in your area. A truck may bring $2500 in Az., but that same truck in the rust belt, may bring $7500. With some work to bring the truck into good shape, may be a wise investment. Also is the truck 4x4 or 2WD. I had my headliner redone in my 97 and the sun visors recovered for $175. Is the clear coat pealing? Is it a regular cab or a extended cab. Z71????????? All of this effects the price.

^ Agreed with the above. Us Midwest to Northern folks usually pay a hefty premium for non-rusty stuff. Even dealerships up here get away with it regardless of book values. If it's clean - it's costly. :banghead:

If I could also recommend - fix your headliner, and even the small knick-knack stuff. That gives people excuses to knock you down on your price!

Pictures help, but if the paint is pretty much flawless, I think I'd pay more than $4,000 up here for a truck of that stature. (This is solely opinion, not a valuation!)

I was in the retail car business for years and two things you learn fast; (1) something is only worth or is worth as much as someone is willing to pay, auctions work great for determining this, and (2) there is a butt for every seat  I go to Barrett Jackson auto auction ever year in Scottsdale and in the last few years the number of old trucks in all states of repair have increased dramatically and so have their prices. Even mid 80's GM trucks can easily be $20k for nothing great. I suspect in the next 10 years the GMT400 will start to see a significant increase in value (as soon as all the landscaper's trucks crap out ).

I brought my Dad's 1990 GMC K1500 SLE extended cab with 350 and F44 HD option back to Arizona from Pittsburgh last year because it was my Dad's and it only had 38k miles on it when I started back. Since it was part of the estate I had to get values on it and three dealers' cash offers averaged $600 (each salesman was eager to pay more on the side) as it has some body damage and my Dad was a little hard on the exterior with dings, scratches, etc. The interior is perfect. He never used it in the winter, he bought it to tow the boat, and it was always garage kept. The underside does have a patina of rust due to the high humidity in Pittsburgh. It also had the original 30 year old tires on it. The fourth dealer which he originally bought it from offered $4,000. I suspect either they wanted it to keep it and display it as it had the original window sticker, license plate frames, and other dealer bumper stickers or they already had a customer looking for this particular truck.

In the year I've had it I've put well over $4,000 into it. Started out with basic tune up and all fluids changed but eventually I ended up replacing or repairing everything that rotates as my Dad hadn't even started it in the last 4 years he was alive. Everything didn't go bad at one time but I was really lucky to drive it 3,000 miles from Pittsburgh to Arizona without one issue. Definitely replace the headliner and sun visors. Mine only cost $160 with me taking them out and putting them back in. I already had the interior panels out putting new speakers in. The headliner was fine when I started out from Pittsburgh but with the windows open and the wind buffeting the interior the liner started to sag.

Pics would be super helpful. It has a lot of desirable traits though. Black exterior, red interior, short box, 350, no rust, low mileage. Mods don’t really increase the value at all. In fact if not done right it can actually bring the value down. 5k is reasonable in my opinion.
