My 20 year old 4X10's were the last standing factory speakers I did not replace. I have Polk's in the doors that are awesome. Finally decided to take on the conversion project of replacing the 4X10's with 6X9 Infinity's that were on sale from Crutchfield. Followed instructions for the most part that I found on youtube and now these things are booming! 1 down, 1 to go!

Was any cutting needed or is there a adapter available? I have a 98 Tahoe the previous owner removed the 4x10’s I’d rather have 6x9’s personally.
You have to remove the original plates, cut the 4x10 holes to fit the 6x9 speakers and then reinstall the modified plates. Not for the faint of heart.
