Distributor hold down

I put a billet aluminum distributor on all 3 of the v8 vortec truck me and my family had 2 98 k15s and a 99 obs k25 seirra they had enough play with adjust +/- 3 degrees but still had mounted holddown clamp

The timing was right all along. Turning the distributor doesn't change the timing. Timing is reliant on the crank sensor, not the distributor position.

Turning the distributor changes the rotor-to-cap alignment, and the alignment of the cam sensor signal, though.

Yes I know what it does, you have to run a scan tool to get values to 0 +-5. Sorry I said timing. Relation of cam and crank sync

It is hard to remember that you cannot set the timing using the distributor of 45 years of doing it that way. The spec for CPO is 0/-2 :waytogo:
