Thought I'd lost these years ago. Turned out they were wrapped up in some padding under a bunch of other crap in a box full of misc stuff other than truck parts! My absolute last set of these, all the others are history...

The idea occurred to me for about a minute to throw these on eBay but honestly I think I should keep them for any future GMT400 project I might do. I've still got one set of clear 94-98 Chevy corners too.. sucks because I'd rather run a GMC grille. Oh well!

Man, I thought finding one of the Fog light switches I thought I lost was a good recovery.

I do often check CL / FB for something that grabs my attention.. so many wore the hell out, or just not the right combo to really get me interested. I've gotten spoiled by the creature comforts and power of the '06 SS, and it's a great truck, but I really don't enjoy it 100% as a package. :(

I love my dad's '06 3500 (and will do my best to buy it if he ever wants to get rid of it) but I can't imagine giving up either one of my '97s. The GMT800s are great trucks but they will never be as cool as the 400s are in my opinion.

Out of curiosity what are you looking for? Another dually?

Eh, my last GMT400's were the '94 C2500LD, '94 C1500, '97 Suburban (LS1 swap), '95 3500HD (7.4/NV4500), '94 3500HD (the one I Vortec 7.4/NV4500 swapped), etc...

I was looking at more TBI C2500LD's but I think what I might actually want is a grandpa truck TBI C2500 7.4/4L80E extended cab, for the big block torque and the transmission that isn't constantly on borrowed time. That kind of truck isn't really a good basis for a bunch of modding the way I would like, but I think I might just be happy with one as-is. I'll take a hit on fuel mileage and insurance, but I'm already kind of doing that with the SS - mileage is OK but it requires premium.

One thing holding me back on that model is that an extended cab longbed won't fit in my garage. Not normally an issue but if I'm working on it and need to leave on a parts run or whatever, then I can't lock down the garage and tools, so that becomes a huge issue.
