As a last resort I will remove the djm arms and do a coilover conversion with direct bolt in arms. The front tires rub the inner wheel well alittle on really hard bumps but nothing like it did before the coil stiffeners and qa1 adjustable shocks. Could be I ruined the balljoints the first few drives when the truck was beating itself to death. I’ll look into what balljoints fit the djm arms and get some replacements ordered. New shorter summer tires are in the works so hopefully this solves the rubbing. If not I’ll look into custom inner fenders. I’m not happy with the alignment shop so I will be going somewhere else to replace the balljoints and correct the alignment

It seems to be a dying skillset. The only two places I've ever got a good alignment on a dropped truck were both heavy truck repair shops (parking lot full of semi tractors, dump trucks, garbage trucks, concrete mixers, etc!), one in Houston and one near Atlanta. Anyone else spends too much time paying attention to what the computer says it should be, instead of what it actually should be.

Preach! Positive camber has NO place on any of my vehicles.

I emailed djm to see what they suggested. Djm said “The read out is a very perfect alignment. The wheel should snap back like crazy. I would get the truck on jack stands under the control arms and check for a reason why it's so tight. ”. I explained I had the alignment shop check for binding and they decided on the balljoints. Which were uninstalled, inspected, and reinstalled. This was 10k miles ago and it’s not any better. Djm replied “
If I was doing it I would check each component. I would have it on my lift and disconnect the tie rod and check the spindle swing. I would check the tie rods the idler arm and If still not convinced I would pull the pitman arm and check the steering and operate the assembly by hand. I think it's in there somewhere.” I will have the steering inspected again and new upper n lower balljoints plus Baer tracker tie rods installed. I wanted to wait for govas industries to come out with their center link and tie rod kit but not sure how long till it’s available. Also have some Nt420s 255/40 for the fronts on the way. Figured best to get a shorter tire on before I replace the balljoints. I will be upgrading to an agr steering box aswell.

Thanks. I read that article awhile back, it’s the main reason I’m looking at agr. I have the same qa1 adjustable shocks. May go with a redhead steering box. Got the new tires mounted yesterday and so far no more tire rub. Wednesday morning I’m getting the steering inspected and balljoints/tie rod ends installed

The shop said the balljoints are good and they don’t recommend replacing them. Idler arm pitman arm n center link are all tight n right. They can’t be certain but they are thinking it’s binding in the steering gear box. Even on the ground the wheels turn left n right with ease if the tie rods aren’t connected. not going to get any work done today. Balljoints labor is too expensive if they don’t need replaced. I’ll order a new steering box and have it n the tie rod ends installed all at once
