We had 32cm (12.5 inches) of snow last night and my wife and I just finished shoveling. I lucked out as I had taken my summer rims and tires off as well as getting my truck rust proofed for the winter 5 days ago.

Put my winter wheels on a few weeks ago. Also put the grille guard away for the winter (since it's polished and not clear coated anymore). It was missing some bulk in the front, so I swapped in the diesel bumper again to bring the bulk back. My 98 will be going into storage soon, haven't driven it since late October since we got salt on the roads now. Just can't believe it's already that time of the year again.

Also hit 240k miles a few days ago, can't wait until it hits half a million! :D Would be nice to see it live past 300k miles, but it would probably be a dedicated plow truck by then. Sometime in the future I would like to get a lower mileage 96-00 3/4 ton RCLB as my DD.

(Don't mind the check engine light, it's the stupid catalytic converter bank 2 inefficiency code, probably just going to cut the cuts, not sure yet)

For some reason my air bag light came on one morning, but then never back on once I restarted it and hasn't come back on ever since. A bit confused, but whatever lol. Can cold weather trigger it randomly?

My airbag light comes on intermittently. Can't recreate it with bumps, turning the wheel, nothing. Sometimes it pops up once in months, others, it pops up and goes off over and over on a 20 minute drive. Sometimes it stays solid for the whole ride. Started after I used the horn one day 7 years ago. Guarantee you it's the clockspring or related wiring on mine.

Yeah that's what my instructor said as well, it's probably just the clockspring that is slowly going bad. I'm not to worry about it unless it starts staying on all the time, by then I will probably just delete the bags and call it a day haha.

I personally wouldn't delete air bags and not just because my state inspection won't allow it lol

I actually just posted a thread on the airbag light the other day, it came on in my Suburban a few times recently. I did a little research and found out that a clone Tech 2 scanner should be able to read stored codes and help diagnose the issue. I'm planning on spending the $300 for one at some point, it would be handy to have around for a ton of other stuff too.

Not sure what the setup is on this model but on the GMT 800's the airbag light is notorious for being the front impact sensors. I replaced both passenger and driver side on mine.
