So as the title says, my truck took a nice hit. At the body shop and I’m being told that if parts aren’t found then it won’t be fixed and it’ll just be a write off on my end.

I’m sure the parts can be found. Fingers crossed!

Dude that really sucks, hit and runs sure seem to be increasing. :flame:

Waiting to find out if the insurance is going to approve the claim. Came out to $3751.00 for repairs. Also includes two wheels that were damaged as well. Going to suck if it doesn’t get approved with the claim. I don’t want it totaled. I want it fixed!

Unfortunately these trucks are 20/30 years old now so I’m surprised if they don’t total it out.

You can buy it back and fix it if they total it.

Accidents are the worst things for these trucks because insurance sees them as no value any more. They clearly don't come to this site or drive one or they would know they are much better then the newer trucks.

Mine was hit a few months back too. I was fortunate though that it is limited to the rear door. I didn't even file a claim. Eventually I'll just pick up a door from the junkyard and swap it out. Skeptical to fix it until I don't have to park it in the street anymore.

The insurance did total it out after all. I was expecting that. So I ended up keeping the truck and will just receive the money they will be sending me. I’ll in turn use that to fix it.
