Hi guys, I tried searching the web and the forum with little luck....

Does anyone know if a pre-bent brake line kit is available using copper or coated lines? I do NOT want stainless steel as I've used them before, and would much prefer a cheaper and easier to adjust line if possible.

If not, ill just make my own as usual, but the time savings of a pre-bent kit would be very nice.

Thanks in advance,
Nick

If you use the copper nickel lines you can easily bend them by hand. No need to pay for prebent ones. When replacing the long line that runs to the back axle I rolled the line out straight, cut it, put the nuts on, flared it and slid it down the frame making necessary bends as I went. Super easy

I bought a length of steel that was supposedly coated, at Orielly several years ago for a shop to install for me. It rotted out faster than the original GM line. I was very disappointed in it. Last summer I replaced it myself with copper (NiCop). It bends pretty easy by hand but it did want to flatten a bit. I was doing the line running to the back so it wasn't complicated. I'd definitely use some bending tools if doing more complicated bends like found up front.

Thanks for the replies.

I've made lines for lots of vehicles over the years, however the idea of not having to flare lines is very enticing. I've had very good luck with the coated lines from NAPA. The only pre-bent SS kit I've used was on a Jeep truck and boy was it a PITA. Swore I would never do it again.

DO NOT use copper tubing.

There's nickel-copper alloy that's supposed to be good, but ordinary copper will get you killed.

I should have clarified, there is a copper based line that’s designed specifically for brakes I was referring to. Not a pure copper line.
