Hey guys I need some help finding some new shocks for my 95 ext cab z71.Before I even say anything about my truck let me just say please don’t criticize me or say “just buy a real lift with drop bracket” I know I know trust me I’m well aware of all the problems with cranked keys ext...however I’m not in the market for a drop bracket lift nor do I plan on putting one on my truck. That being out of the way my truck still has the stock yellow and blue Bilsteins and they have seen better days no doubt,I would really like to improve the ride quality and I’m about to order the skyjacker ucas and the diff drop bracket,my question is what would be the best shocks I like the Bilstein 5100s and that’s what I’m leaning towards but I cannot find a for sure answer if they will work with 2-3 inch of lift if not gimme some options on some good quality shocks without putting the crappy shock extender brackets on.Any help is greatly appreciated!

X3 for Bilsteins, I run the 4600s on both of my '97s.

I'm kinda curious what you were asking them. They're not showing a 2-4" shock on line but an off the shelf shock is going to be valved fairly neutral for compression and rebound more along the lined of normal preload. Cranked you have little compression and lots of rebound so I'm wondering if your questions were leading to custom valving or double adjustables to kill the bounce.

There are a few threads on the control arm/diff bracket kits on this site. You should check them out. Just saying.

Nice pickup. Nice to see a revived GMT400 with late model snowflake wheels that isn't one of those racoon hunting specials. :)

Oh, and go bilstein or go home.
