So I tried taking off my wheels today and as title says, Their crooked, I need help, I can't fit my socket between the lug and the rim. any ideas on how to fix? I'm fine with taking apart the axle btw.

Can you get any of them off? Maybe getting the tire off the ground will allow the wheel to move on the studs enough to get a socket in there. Taking whole hub won’t do much, inless plan on grinding back sides of studs off.

I can get 4 off but there is still 4 stuck on, and yes, the wheel was off the ground, X = stuck. 0 = off.

ignore my awful attempt at illustrating without pics.

Sounds like they are badly cross threaded possibly bent studs. Seriously....I would pound a socket on the lug till it seats and spin them off. If they won’t cone off tighten till they break

Then replace the studs and lugnuts

Id say cross threaded, studs are pretty hard to bend lol. But anything possible.

Do you have a pneumatic impact?

My brother had a flat recently and when the tire shop tried to remove the wheel, 2 lug nuts were seized. Funny thing is had just gotten the tires replaced a few weeks earlier.

They hammered with the impact until they snapped to remove the wheel. My brother had to replace studs.

Breaker bar? I really have no idea how much torque would be required to snap them off.

Sturdy Breaker bar with 6' pipe cheater bar is what I think it would take.

I took off the gooseneck ball on my K3500 with a 18" pipe wrench and 9' fence post I had laying around, LOL. It was threaded on there and had plenty of corrosion.

Keep tightening. When they’re cross threaded like that it’s easier to snap them than to back them off. Cheater bar or a big friend
