Good to know, thanks for the link. I’ll be redoing the cooling system sometime in September. More than likely I’ll add the bypass at that time.

I think the hard part will be wiring the solenoid in a manner that I can accept. I wonder if the bulkhead connector under the dryer is sealed up permanently, or are there rubber plugs in the unused cavities. I suppose I could drill a hole in the plastic or something.

Going by the wiring diagram, it looks like the original firewall pass through location is connector C100, which I believe is the main one at the convenience center on the driver’s side.

What does the coolant bypass do? Forgive my ignorance

Bypasses the heater core so that extra heat never even gets into the HVAC box. I suppose it helps eek out a few extra degrees of coldness.

EDIT: I found it! Red line tracks the little hose. In the second pic it’s the one I’m grabbing.
