I have googled and searched forums, haven't found a 3/6. Going 4/6 worries me because I live in a hilly area, thinking 3/6 might be in my future for a bit more clearance up front. The 3/4 drops I see have too much rake. For that matter, some 4/6 drops seem to have excessive rake. Would a 3/6 be level?

4/6 drop (from what I can tell with every static GMT400 drop I've done) is the exact same rake as stock. Just Lower.
Running a DJM 4/6 drop on my Phantom.

First is my '98 @ 4/6.
Not the best angle to see the bit of rake. Only decent pic I've got at that height.
Like you, I didn't want that.
2nd. is @ 4/7. Mo' betta. Tops of the tires are now IN the w/w. @ 6" the tops were visible.
A 3/6 would be good.
These trucks need a 3" difference front to rear to ride level.
I've actually considered that drop for my '97 @ 2/4, but seeing as I threw away the stock hangars...!!! Oops.
...and the local P-n-P won't allow power tools in the yard. So no drills or grinders. Stupid rule.
Been on the look-out for some stock 1/2t SUV hangars. They'll drop the rear about 3/4" for a 2"/4.75" drop. (Have to drill new holes.) Not quite level, but close. I hate the rake!

On the other hand, I've never bottomed out any out my '98's front suspension. 200,000+ miles & over 17 years lowered with 'me' driving.
There's places where thngs will rub, sure.
Fender lips, lower rear inner fenderwells. Never bent a rim or sliced a sidewall. Has to be a pretty hard hit or whoop-de-doos at speed before stuff happens. The noises are more bark than bite. Sounds t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e! But not destructive.
Had a new cross-over made, though. It would sometimes touch on really big speed bumps in parking lots. That was the lowest point under the truck
90% of all those rub areas can be worked around with wheel & tire widths. Plus a bit of trimming & bending of metal here and there. Minor stuff.

My current truck it has been leveled so I will need to find stock shackles. Can't help but to wonder if it's also lowered in front, just seems to sit low, maybe it's because I am used to a lifted Jeep. Tires are 275/55/20, front rim rubs on sway bar, plan to go with 17's..

My old 99, not sure of the drop as it was lowered when I bought it, drove and handled excellent! It was fine in the flatlands of West TN but had to really watch my approach to hilly areas in the middle part of TN when I moved here.
