So I can use any resistor between 1k and 13k? With all the Radio Shacks being closed now I'm not sure I'll find anything in town.

Went digging through my stash and found some 1k resistors and 10k resistors. I think I'll try a 10k resistor with the relearn tomorrow and see what happens. Hopefully the truck decides to cooperate. It has no brakes, but I can still go for a little rip to motivate myself if it decides to run.

Motivate yourself for a big brake upgrade

The only brakes that need upgrading are the rears on dually #1. ~5,000# of camper kind of eats up the capacity of the stockers. Fully loaded with a trailer it wants to lock the fronts in a panic stop.

Just took a quick rip in this thing and, well, calling it a rip is a bit of a stretch. **** these things are turds in stock form, who the hell decided they could pull any more than their own ass?! In other news, the motor runs awesome and I have a heater hose that pukes a metric **** ton of water. Gotta replace it, the brake reservoir, and the fan clutch before I can take longer drives. My initial impression is that the alignment is not ****** as I had predicted and the truck rides and drives really nice. Looking forward to finishing this thing and getting paid.

Nice! Forward progress. It’s always exciting when you here that swapped engine run for the first time.

My parents neighbors must have loved me and my 87 S10 Blazer. 2.8L to 4.3L, 4.3L to 5.0L, 5.0L to 5.7L swaps first starts were all with open headers. I’ll have to continue the tradition in my neighborhood if I ever get the LQ4 swap ever finished.

I got the cops called on me with open headers and a 6pm fire up. I knew who did it so I used to idle My 92 Dakota 318 headers and Flowmaster delta 40 with the 3" exit pointed at there windows when I got home at 2am during my work week. Take that!

Wanted to get the shift cable hooked up inside the truck but discovered the end of the arm that the cable snaps onto is broken off. I have a 2000ish S10 column at home, hopefully I can swipe what I need from that and swap it out tomorrow. That, a brake reservoir, and new fan clutch are the only things preventing me from dding this which will enable me to finish it much faster. I also got the window unjammed and rolled up and the door unstuck. What a mess that turned into. Yesterday the truck had killed the battery overnight, had a visor with a light stuck on. Happened to have a spare at home so tossed that on. Fired up today, so if it fires up again tomorrow I think it's safe to say the parasitic draw is gone.
