You might need to modify the console to fit with the floor shift transfer case. Nice clean truck for sure though. I love the k2xx wheels on this generation

That's one hella smoking deal compared to what I see around me.

Nice score.

Man same here honesty, this was like the needle in the haystack truck to find. I still can’t believe I drove it off at that price.

I have discovered a parasitic electrical draw which Im sure is tied to the cluster, it’s a known issue with these 03-07 clusters. I noticed the PRNDL display is super dim and 1 backlight is out. Local shop is gonna do a draw check, cluster refurbish, LED upgrade and also LED upgrade my HVAC and Headlight controls for $200.

I routinely see ones with close to if not more than 200k miles in worse shape listed north of 10k locally. Seems crazy to me but I guess they get it.

Well, got the cluster back. The guy didn’t have the color LEDs I wanted in stock and I wasn’t willing to wait so I only had him fix the cluster with a full rebuild with new incandescent bulbs for now, only cost me $100 and was done in 3hrs.

Was not the source of my electrical issue though, through testing we figured out it was the battery itself even though it looked brand new. So off to Oriellys I go to get it checked out and verified. Yep, bad battery. Good news is I had a red top Optima I bought about 2.5yrs ago for the Tahoe, was dead so I asked them to charge it. Went to pick it up and it was also bad BUT I was inside my 3yr replacement warranty so the kid tossed a brand new red top on the counter and said have a nice day. So now the cluster is fixed and I got a brand new battery for $100 all together, not too bad, lol. Sun shines on a dogs ass every now and then thank god, lol.

Score, found a set of stock LS1 valve covers I had powder coated for my WS6 that I forgot about. They have been out in my shed the past 3+yrs, they still look good as the day I got them done. I’ll slap these in with a billet coil bracket when I do the plugs/wires. I know there is a PCV difference between the fbody LS and the 5.3 truck, but it’s easily fixed.

Love the truck, but it’s not a GMT400. Same reason I’m not posting anything about my Avalanche. Everything I post here is about my GMT400 Phantom Dually.
