Hey guys figured i would start a build to share my adventure as well as serve as a place I can find all my info in one spot

I have already started into my build so I will post up what I have done so far in the next post.

My end goal is to have a truck that is capable to take on most any trail, crawl on rocks or hit the mud pit. If anyone is familiar with the Offroad Design GMT400 truck I am heavily basing my build on it

the build is going to take a few steps to completion but it will end up with a 1 ton solid axle swap with a big block swap. step one is getting the solid axle swap done and taking it out and getting that working then I will move into swapping the big block in.

major items i am swapping in will be:
14FF rear end
Kingpin D60
454/8.1(not sure yet)
TH400 trans
203/205 doubler
5.38 gears
40" rubber
H1 12 bolt beadlocks
custom bed
custom bumpers

Here is my starting point! I have owned this truck since i was 15 (currently 30) so it means a lot to me and i cant wait to take it to the next level.

This looks like it's gonna be badass!
How hard was the Lugnut kit to install? I've been wanting to go for it, but I've got the stud mounted drums and the slip-on style.

Nice build.
Sorry to see such a nice truck getting used on the rocks. We run the Rubicon with smaller trucks, usually starting with junkyard bodies and frames and going up from there.
Rock crawling's a blast! Enjoy your new truck. It'll have more than enough power.

The slip on Kit was super easy. Hardest part is getting the rusty old drums off. The kit is fairly expensive as far as disk conversions go but it had everything I needed so to me it was worth not having to buy everything separate. Lugnut was the only company I could find that made a complete kit for the slide on drum version, compared to the many kits I found for the stud mounted version.
