The tensioner is at it's limit as previously stated per the photo. I had this chirpy belt problem and after buying several new belts from different makers was advised on this forum to use the Gatorback belt. Expensive but it worked and I have not had a problem since.

mine has chirped for at least 15 years. I put a belt and tensioner on it about 12 years ago and it squawked right out of the box. But then sometimes it doesn't. Actually it doesn't more than it does. Usually in wet weather, Except when its hot. Usually stops when its hot, except when it doesn't. I have found a solution though. Blow a little talc at it. Works for a few hours at least. Except when it works for a few months. I keep a bottle of it and a kids booger sucker full of it in the box under the hood. I suspect 477xxxkm on the crank pulley might have something to do with it. I recently scored a free 140 amp alternator and I'm curious to see if the extra tension will take care of it.

I'm still trying to get rid of my engine chirp. The belt was chirpy when I bought the truck, and two days later the serpentine belt went out... completely shredded. I replaced the belt and the chirp was still there. Since replacing the belt I have replaced the idler pulley, tensioner, and tried a spare alternator that I got from a pic a part. The chirp is still there... Now, the chirp does increase in intensity when I turn and accelerate. Could the power steering pump pulley being going out of alignment when I turn. I wouldn't think so, because I have to be on the throttle and turning to get the chirp really loud. I haven't tried cleaning the pulleys. So I'll give that a go. Should I try a different belt before I start replacing other pulleys?

One thing to check is the power steering pump pulley, make sure that the pulley flange is flush with the end of the pump shaft to avoid belt misalignment.

Mine chirps only when wet regardless of temp.
New tensioner, belt and I know the power steering pully is correct, I put it on myself when I replaced the pump
and knew the above info.
